Upregulated CBS can increase Taurine, Ammonia and sulfites.
What would bring it down?
How about metformin ?
Metformin? Any evidence to back up the claim?
Dear Johnny,
CBS is regulated at the transcriptional level by NF-Y, SP-1, and SP-3. In addition it is upregulated transcriptionally by glucocorticoids and glycogen, and downregulated by insulin.
