Hello Eleanor,

about three years ago I ordered DNA from a specific Chlamydia trachomatis serovar that I wanted to use as positive control in qPCR.

On the tube that I got the DNA concentration was given in ng/µl. I diluted the DNA down to 1ng/µl which is always my standard concentration to start from and it worked well. I then diluted this DNA further to find the limit of detection.

We´ve been using this standard ever since for this diagnostic qPCR.
