Our lab is trying to observe whether changes in wound healing time occur if mice are treated with corticosteroids. We are using C57B6 mice, but would be interested in data about the sensitivity of other mouse strains to dexamethasone, prednisone, and other commonly used corticosteroids.
There's an older literature on the B10/B10a mouse strain differences in glucocorticoid responses (Honig LS, Smith BT, Slavkin HC, Donahue HG. Influence of the major
histocompatibility complex (H-2) on glucocorticoid-stimulated pulmonary
surfactant synthesis in two congenic mouse strains. Proc Soc Exp Biol Med. 1984
Sep;176(4):419-25.). And there's another literature on sex differences in glucocorticoid responses (Nielsen HC. Androgen receptors influence the production of pulmonary
surfactant in the testicular feminization mouse fetus. J Clin Invest. 1985
Jul;76(1):177-81); more recent data from my lab indicate that these effects are underpinned by Wnt pathway genes and TGFbeta.
