I've searched and done some experiment in copper nanostructures synthesis by solution method. The biggest problem is how to prevent oxidation as soon as the nanoparticles is synthesized. Most of the researchers use excessive capping agent contain thiol or amine group to bind the surface atom completely in order to prevent oxidation. The problem is these capping agent will limit the nanoparticles application in microelectronics as these capping agent will form insulative layer around the particles

Is there other method to prevent oxidation of nanoparticles? Or any post-synthesis treatment to prevent further oxidation?
