I have a couple of questions concerning markers for embryonic / neonatal rat cardiomyocytes.
1) Does anyone know a good marker for cardiomyocytes that I can use for flow cytometry?
2) Does anyone know a good marker to distinguish between ventricular and atrial myocytes?
3) Does anyone have a protocol for cardiomyocyte transfection that yields satisfying transfection efficiencies?

hi, I might have a few suggestions what markers might be helpful to distinguish between ventricular and atrial myocytes:
ANF/HESX1 Atria
HRT1/HEY1 Atria
MYL7/MLC-2a Atria
HRT2/HEY2 Ventricles
KCNE1 Ventricles
MYL2/MLC-2v Ventricles
my personal choice would be MYL7/MLC-2a (Atria) and MYL2/MLC-2v (Ventricles)
