Hello Sharon! In ArcGIS there is "Search toll" (Open ArcMap and set Ctrl+F), find by keywords to apply wherever... as you know what you want to do (clusters analysis, identify patterns... and so on...) It will not so difficult.

Or, other possibility is to use Geoda software. It works very well for spatial analysis.

Hi, Sharon. I think ArcGIS is a good tool for classifying individuals into clusters, of course, if you have enough information about those individuals. You can use some of the available classification techniques or perform a principal component analysis, if as I suppose you has several attributes that characterize individuals. Important, in any case, you must interpret the final results as this does not do ArcGIS.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I have found the analysis tools. but my table data is not in a form which will let me perform the analysis. I get error messages every time. How can I specify which field to use for the analysis? I have only two options, positive or negative (or 0 and 1) for each data point. I have the table with addresses, and have geocoded it to show the points. Then I have a point id column (field) and the characteristic (pos or neg). I am sure it is easy from this point, if only I knew how to present the data. Any help gratefully received!
