I need to perform western blotting of a purified plant viral protein using specific antibodies against the virus. I searched for purchasing the virus specific antibodies and found them in Agdia. I am new to western blotting, so got confused whether to purchase either the coating antibody or the detection antibody+Alk Phos enzyme conjugate or both of them to serve the purpose. The user guide says about using them in ELISA. Kindly guide me.

Agida seems to sell ELISA kits. Antibodies against native antigens, which are used in ELISA, often do not work in Western blots (denatured antigen). It is also important to know, whether the antibodies are poly- or monoclonal.
