I work in Engineering at Daylight and won't try to speak directly about User experience as that isn't in the spirit of your question. Our website has over 100 peer-reviewed articles on a variety of MIR applications published by Users of the Daylight Solutions Tunable QCLs; maybe some of those could be helpful.
I use daylight ubertuner. in general it is a good laser- powerful, broadly tunable (as stated in its specs) and easy to use either directly through the supplied controller or by progarmming. not all parameters are measureable for me (i dont have a clabrated powermeter, or spectrometer for example) but it seems that the repeatability is good as i measured some spectra repeadtedly. it does suffer some mode-hop issues (i dont have the mode-hop free version).
