What I mean for chemical speciation is that: by a giving initial pH calculate the distribution of chemical species, components and complexes and how those species concentrations change as we change the pH of the solution. another way to see this is by solving the derivative: d(Cj)/d(pH) in which Cj is the concentration of one of many complex and how its concentration changes as we change the value of the pH in the bulk.
