Does anyone have data about the effect of removing the intron from hEF1a?

I'm trying to figure out if someone has just removed the intron and checked what the effect on expression is (preferentially in genomically integrated cassettes) when you use the short/core EF1a instead of the full one with the intron. Is there much change? In which cell types did you test?

I would recommend against it. I've not tested it but worked a great deal with EF1a cassettes and studied the lit. It is just not worth the trouble.
