I am trying to do a competing risks analysis in SAS. I find the macros very confusing. Does anyone have an actual worked example? SAS code, etc.
Hi Sinead,
I have used this macro to calculated cumulative incidence rates in the presence of competing risks several times.
Good luck!

Thanks Irene. Do you have any notes or explanation of this macro for a non statistician?
Sure, here is another link with more documentation and an example. Hope this helps!

Thank you Irene. This is great. I really appreciate it. If its ok can I contact you again should I have any more questions on this macro? (Which is highly likely!)
That'll be fine - you could email me [email protected] anytime :)
Book on Competing Risk - A Practical Perspective by Pintilie will be a great source.
SAS macros for competing risk analysis is also given as an additional in this book.
Thank you Devika
