I would like to dissolve (even partly) guanine in ionic liquids.
Any relevant reading suggestions are also much appreciated. Thanks.
you can try with cyclohexannone with small addition of formaldehyde.
Shivayogeeswar Neelagund I do not believe that the materials you mention are ionic liquids as the questioner posed. An ionic liquid is a salt in the liquid state.
I had tried long ago, and managed 20mg/ml in 1N NaOH in water. I didn't try any higher concentration though.
Vortex a few seconds and you get a clear solution (assuming you do not have some specific salt and just the pure product). No heating was necessary.
