Does anyone have a protocol on how to synthesize large amounts of microRNA precursors?

We are working with nanoparticles into which we wish to load with microRNA precursors. Since buying commercially synthesized precursors of microRNA is quite expensive I was wondering if it would be possible to synthesize it myself.

It is only a guess, but in vitro transcription (IVT) should work...there are several protocols that work very well (assuming that you have the shRNA cloned in a plasmid).
