I have dextran-coated charcoal ( C6241 Sigma) and the protocols I have found require that the charcoal be coated and that solution is then used for the stripping. The problem is that that the protocols say to remove an equivalent amount of the dextran-charcoal solution to the amount of fbs to be stripped, but I already have the coated charcoal so I need to know how many mg of coated charcoal to mix with how many mL of FBS, as well as suggestions on mixing procedure, centrifugation, and filtering.
