Hi,

I wanted to ask if any of the IEEE wireless communication protocols such as Wifi (IEEE 802.11), IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee or Bluetooth standards offer reliable broadcast/multicast mechanism?

For example, IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15.4 offer feedback/acknowledgments (ACKs) at the MAC layer, which can increase the reliability of these types of transmissions. But those are only for unicast transmissions when data is intended for only a single client (if I am not wrong).

I will be grateful if anyone please share if such a mechanism exists or not for broadcast transmissions (when a server sends data to multiple clients simultaneously)?

Thanks in advance!
