The positron is real and can be observed in many experiments. When an electron and a positron annihilate, the result is a pair of photons. No black holes are involved.

Of course positron exists. Lot of positron observed in various experiment. It can be created in accelerators. Also it is observed in cosmic rays. When positron and electron annihilates photons (with approximate energy MeV) created.
Any beta+ decay source is a prouf of the existence of positrons... For example, 22Na emits a beta+ which annihilates with an electron from matter in two photons of energy equal to their mass (511keV).
so what does anti-matter consist of?? If i need to live in anti-matter????? then what are the basic components of anti-matter???? is positron a part of that?? then what are the anti-matter of proton and neutron??????
anti-protons and anti-neutrons, which are composed of anti-quarks... You could live in an a world made of anti-matter if you are made of anti-matter yourself. Otherwise, you will annihilate very soon (like anti-matter in our Universe)!
Yes sir Arnaud Chapon.......i was also asking the same question! if the matte annihilates the is black hole an obvious phenomenon?? When the LARGE HADRON COLLIDER experiment was being experimented, formation of black hole was one of their expected outputs....is that true??
The point at which matter annihilates may produce exotic reactions, but it does not produce black holes. There is only one way that a BH can ever be formed and that is definitely not at LHC. When anti-matter collides with normal matter it doesn't just disappear into absolute nothingness leaving behind a void of ruptured space.
