I would really support that. Recently, most predatory journals that send invitations to me claim they are on the DOAJ and when i check, they are. Apparently, the criteria for entering DOAJ are quite loose.

I strongly disagree with professor Georges where he is trying to force his line of thinking on every scientists. Whatever he is saying is nothing but his personal opinion and he has no right to make these public in order to brain-wash every scientists right to publish their work in their journal of choice. Treat this as a warning message.

I understand your concern. However, I strongly believe that predatory publisher practices are harmful to science, researchers, and the general public. Researchers are of course free to publish wherever they wish. I never attack the authors in the list or in my articles. I denounce only the practices of the publishers.

Whatever you have stated in your replies are your personal views. Why should every body follow it? We are talking about disseminating scientific findings and making it available to all workers in that field as soon as possible which is primary objective of publications.On the other hand a publisher like Elsevier takes 2 to 4 month (minimum) to publish which is a loss to the scientific community.

If a researcher does not agree with the operation of the Dolos list, he/she can submit his/her recommendations to me. Otherwise, he/she may also disregard it. It's up to each researcher to decide.

When a publisher, commonly accepted as serious, proves to be ultimately predatory (like Taylor & Francis, on which a new article will appear soon), I add it to the list.

When a serious and legitimate scientific publisher displays a dubious behavior, I do not hesitate to inform said publisher and to mention it publicly (https://www.professeur-alexandre-georges.info/science-and- law-1 & https://www.professeur-alexandre-georges.info/homeopathy-1).

I established a set of rules for the proper functioning of the list and allowed the researchers to contribute. My office follows strict procedures (https://www.professeur-alexandre-georges.info/operation) and does not always validate reports. Each case is well studied.

Are you sure it's a good idea to send me a warning message? I let you guess how I interpreted it by reading what will follow:

In case you have not consulted the rules of the Dolos list (https://www.professeur-alexandre-georges.info/operation), Part II, Subpart 2, Section F, Sub-section b, indicates that "In the event of a threat to the office, the addition to the list of a journal or publisher is final." and Part III, Subpart 3, indicates that "It will be preferable that the journals and publishers added to the list adopt an approach of acceptance and change of their practices. Threats taken seriously may be subject to permanent addition or prosecution.".

OMICS, already registered on the Dolos list since it opened, is therefore added to the Dolos list, as a predatory publisher, permanently. He is ineligible for the probation procedure. A permanent addition may be accompanied by other actions sanctioning questionable business practices, conduct contrary to scientific ethic, and threats.

In this case, by honesty, I will ask you to specify your links with OMICS in your future complaints. Indeed, your lack of transparency about your interests, which are in fact the reason for your complaint, is not indicative of an ethical line of conduct. But that's not surprising from a predatory publisher editor.
