I should think of my brain as a decision center, yes. Memory circuits are probably best allocated in neuronal synapses... But those memories are necessary for good decision making. So, I might prefer to think as my entire body and all integrating parts, as the several chapters of my book.

Prof Abhijit, do you mean to say that our brain keeps a record of our thoughts and actions, while the conscious mind edits certain parts that seem to be significant and important or spectacular. I believe that it is human to forget the sad events, and it is good for our mental health to forget sorrowful events, otherwise, depression will be even more prevalent than it is. Perhaps the mind also edits, in choosing to remember the things we did right, rather than our occasional errors. Isn't this also a human trait?
"Sometimes good people make poor choices. It doesn't mean they are bad. They are just human."
The human brain works as a binary computer and can only analyze the exact information-based zeros and ones (or black and white). Our heart is more like a chemical computer that uses fuzzy logic to analyze information that can't be easily defined in zeros and ones.
