For me, Religion will never be obsolete, there are believers and non believers from ancient times, and same is today. My paradigm, accept and respect diversity until and unless it does not harm others in any possible way.

'Religion' is a belief of followers & always subject to 'Transformation' in principle.
'Social' belief attacking on 'Society' via 'Unequality' or 'Restricting Freedoms' of followers shall be amended by 'Followers' for betterment of 'Humanity'
'Century' may be unit of transformation period & 'No yearly updates in religious activities'
It is natural for man to worship and serve a supreme being but who the "person" is another issue on it's own. Religion will always exist while the world and men exist.
Do you think that religion will ever become obsolete?
From historical past / artifacts there are empirical evidence showing religion still exist. In my personal opinion - this will continue to exist as we need religion as our spiritual intake just like our body needs physical food intake.
Religious beliefs vary in various respects. The religion guidance exsits since the birth of Adom, thus will exist till the last generation died. The Almighty grant His guiding principles (religious books) for humanity as complementary component. The obsolescence of religion is subject to obsolescence of humanity in this world.
It seems that the majority of human beings cannot live without looking up into the healing powers of some kind of religion which can provide them with useful spiritual practices through which moments of sadness, despair, and absurdity can be managed effectively. Simply because for those who believe in God, most of the limit questions are already answered. However, there are those who do not believe in creationism denying the God formula and depending solely on themselves for discovering the answers to difficult conditions of life. Therefore, the polemical debates between creationism and Darwinism seem to have a perpetual nature ,and as a result, religious and agnostic tendencies will exist side by side for the many years to come.
In no case. Practically, only monotheistic theology actively uses and develops the logic of the Absolute, i.e. logic of antinomies. In turn, the use of such logic automatically means adherence to a monotheistic religion - at least, deism.
I do not think the obsolescence of religion is likely, although this does not mean that, every day, there are more people who are atheists.
Although the philosophical discrepancy between believers and non-believers persists, even when advances in science reduce the doubts of the cause of natural phenomena that until recently were inexplicable, I believe that faith is stronger.
There will always be inexplicable points of knowledge that will refer us to religious precepts.
On the other hand, true religion preaches human values so high that, humanity does not want to get rid of them.
Even as science advances, authentic religion is an ally of progress, so I do not think it becomes obsolete.
