I try to put all my effort in any scientific work that I do. The more time that I devote with the project or with the work I am performing, naturally the better results can be achieved. I believe that the work is the only thing (with 1% of inspiration) that can lead us to any result that worth, sooner or later, and that is the message that I try to transmit every day.

RG requests us to condense our research into the smallest amount of space and to express it in the box titled, "ABOUT."  So I formulated a single statement that probably answers this question best: the sense of all my research has been to "Germanize Ortega y Gasset, Protestantize Unamuno, and musicalize García Lorca." 

Before me, no researcher systematically investigated Spanish philosopher Ortega´s sources, so in 1979 I published the book "Ortega and His Germanic Sources." Now, Ortega criticism is Germanized, as proved by the Revista de Estudios Orteguianos [Review of Ortegan Studies], where many of the articles deal with the German connection of Ortega´s thought.

Before me, few researched Spanish philosopher-poet Miguel de Unamuno´s essays and fictions in a systematic relationship with other theologians and philosophers of religion of his times.  In 1985 I published "Unamuno and the Liberal Protestants,"  arguing that Unamuno advocated a Catholicism as defined by French and German Liberal Protestants of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  This thesis, generally accepted today, may well be my most valuable contribution to scholarship.  However, I think it has had little impact on the scholarly community,

Before me, nobody applied a musicological approach to the poetry of world-renowned Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, steeped in music theory and practice,  In February 2014 I published my book, "Lorca in Tune with Falla,"  studying the impact of composer Manuel de Falla's music on Lorca´s best known poetry.  I argue for analyzing Lorca´s verse as if it were music.  It is still too early to determine the impact, if any, of this study on world criticism. So I am still a scholar-in-the-making, known mainly for my Ortega studies, but hoping to become known for my more mature thought.

I admire your tenacity and hard work to solve a problem stated such a long time ago! It shows that knowledge is accumulative and that the human mind is something tremendously complex.

I don't have a preferred paper, and actually my most downloaded paper is one I wrote 20 years ago for a MSc course regarding the XIII US colonies and its economic development from a historical point of view. I've been working on a dissertation these last years and that might be my most important work, since it's very critical on many aspects. Once you distance yourself from mainstream thinking, you begin to see some things very differently.

I proud myself for an international mission I had as a government official that involved a profound technical knowledge and negotiation skills, to surf a sea of economic and political interests. Failing would have meant a tremendous blow to the welfare of people not only in my country.

My Dear Friends, Hanno, never think about your age. My prime age as a Scientist came after 70. I attach another problem, notorious one, formulated by Bukhingham in 1907. The concensus was that problem does not have analitical solution at all, too non-linear. But solution came to me at the age 75, problem was solved and published. I was wiser at 75, than at 55, when tried to find the solution, but failed.

You did not fail dear Alexander; it just did not work (see Thomas Edison quotes). The humans just use a few part of their neuronal capacities and with age everything becomes simpler because the knowledge is matured.

With my group I've written 10 interesting papers, but I'm working in a paper since three years, but I've not the solution.

So when/if I'll publish that paper, it will be my favorite! In conclusion I've got my favorite paper in my mind!

If your paper also meet with other people interest it is because you have also made the effort to make it understandable. You have written for the other on something which is precious for you.So iyour work is valuable both for you and for the others through the knowledge.  It is  a very example of "smart bibliometry".

I agree that this type of paper, that opens one researcher's  world to the others, can really be taken as valuable. It can be also the requirements to define a masterpiece.

Only the future will show which of our paper is the best. One thing is sure, absolutly do not sure, that the best one will really be evaluated to be the best one.

For example, I have a simple technology for oil industry which was used at many places. That was not scientifically an extremely special thing, only a good idea what I could do, but if I take the number of users, that seems to be the best of  my work ? 

I wrote a paper, when I could solve a 200 years old problem which could not be solved by others, and gave a method to determine the exact composition of chlorine hydrates, but  nobody has cited it until now, because I solved the problem, no more question, nobody has been dealing with this topics yet. Is it my best work ?

I have an other paper, I did a routine experiment, crystallize out two complexes of Cu, the paper is published in a famous journal about their structure, andt this paper has been given the most citings for me. What is the best among the three things ?

Excellent answer dear László. Everything is relative. There is much work excellent that sometimes is not visible or completely understood (too much advance for the time …). I would never participate in a Stalinist discussion (procedures/politics of terror).

Dear Laszlo, your best paper is what you think the best. In my particular case, the best paper for me coincides with the opinion of my RG pears, who downloaded it well over 500 times, over 2 times higher then my next paper in their opinion. So, I am happy with peers interest. We write for peers to read and share results with them.

Dear Alexander, You are right in it, however, RG downloading not always gives real picture about it (it is in your case but is not in my case). Let me tell two examples, I have two review papers, one is downloaded in RG more than 1000 times, the other 747 times. Does it mean, these review papers are better because they were downloaded more times than other of my  research papers downloaded less than half of these?  I think, no.

One of my research paper (published in Helv. Chim. Acta) downloaded 430 times.  It was written about chemistry of  a complex compound. An other paper published in Helv. Chim. Acta and contains similarly interesting results about an analogous compound  and published two years earlier dowloaded only 45 times. The question is, why ? Based on the content, both paper (in the same journal) contain unusual and unexpected chemical results, similar to each other, although not the same, of course.  So, evaluation of a paper, is very subjective not only from our side, but the side of peers as well.

But new generation of Russian People dream to have a Leader like Stalin. Never in the History Russian nation was greater then during and after WW2. Stalin for Russians is what Moses is for Jews, both are the Greatest, uncomparable LEADERS. 

Then, Stalin was the great Philosopher, read his original books. I attach the STALIN Prize in Physics, First Class, granted to Prof. Jacob Frenkel, 1947. Stalin claimed that reading Frenkel's book in Physics, he realized, that Collectivization is the Law of Nature.

Please, provide another example of any Leader of Great Country, reading the book in Theoretical Physics.

Laszlo, sure, my case is a coincidense, no general rule exist. Here, on RG network, a person without single paper published, can have RG score higher than a Nobel Prize winner. I just smile, you should do the same.

Sir, for me it was one of my project, on which I start working on my first appointment as scientist and continued till now. It was a method of indigenous method of Irrigation namely Pitcher irrigation. Large number of farmers from water scare area are utilizing it to grow vegetables. thanks
