Above all, it is preferable that the journal or publication should be well-known and scientifically credible and well-known internationally, and I prefer the multidisciplinary magazine because it is more widespread and influential in the scientific circles, knowing that the number of specializations of these journals does not exceed 2-3.

Yes, off course, it is important to consider a specialized journal when publishing your article.

First choice will always be specialized journal than multidisciplinary journal.

The right is to publish the research in specialized journals for the purpose of presenting to reviewers of the same specialty, but the multidisciplinary journals accept most of the research provided to them because the evaluation is weak and therefore do not count -in my opinion- among the good journals.

In my own opinion, both specialized and multidisciplinary journals have their advantages and limitations. When you publish in specialized journals, it increases readability and citation possibility while multidisciplinary journals have tendency of being read by whoever wishes.

I mostly to use broader journals in the field as I generally have a bit broader studies. The narrow journals in water treatment tend to have very low impact factor and narrow minded reviewers that apparently need to ensure their entire scientific production is cited. I also experience the work published in narrow journals get fewer citations.

Personally, I will think multi-disciplinary journals reach many readers in social science, Education disciplines.

I prefer multidisciplinary journal to specialized journal because of some reasons. The main reason is periodicity. Most multidisciplinary journals are fortnightly or monthly (Just forget weekly journals like Nature or Science as they are highly selective!). However, specialist journals, depending upon the specialized nature of the discipline, would be quarterly or biannual. Publication lag would be a problem . Not only that the impact factor, citations, and the reach of such journals would be much low.
