I agree with that statement and to some extent was thinking this way this morning. I have learned so much in the last several months, regarding methodology and research methods, that when I think back to my first year, I practically shake my head as I had no idea what I was thinking/doing then. Hence, because I've learned so much, I can see where I came from and now have a clearer idea as to where I am going.
Personally, I do feel this way. Learning creates value, for the person and the environment. As this is an intangible asset, it is not very valued in our times of material quantification and tangible calculations.
Whenever something positive occurs, a new set of clothes, a newly cleaned home, a new acquisition of knowledge, even a new outlook can make a person feel better. It is the positive forward motion, in my summation, that makes a person feel good. It is exciting and therefore joyful to learn new things and I venture do do so every day.
Yes. My answer is yes--when I learn new things, it makes me feel enlightened and happy.

Yes of course. New knowledge creates new neural networks and connections in our brain. Unlike our body, more the brain grows, younger we feel. I think the wisdom is when knowledge and the resulting neural networks lead us to have a global view and the real picture of what we are studying.
I want to say people feel happy and filled with joy when they make positive and valuable impact. Every new thing you learn, improve your intelligence and increase your experience. The level of man's confidence dependents on what he possess both at bank and in the brain. Your level of knowledge and understanding keep you moving while you feel good at each stage in your journey.
I believe that human beings exist to evolve. Nature tells me this everyday and everywhere. Every time! So, I have chosen to live to learn all the time. And I do not regret for a moment!
In 2016, I completed 50 years and wanted to decide between to keep working for a salary or keep working for my cultural enrichment (with no pay). I was a Controller in a Projects Company and a professor at night (at universities). So much work, Good money, but bad feelings. So I stopped and made a deepen research over what would make me happy.
Well, the rest is history. Here I am, talking to the most interesting and intelligent people all over the world, making friends, researching Economic Development to offer a legacy to my country (if I can). No money, but beautiful feelings! LoL
Learning is a natural phenomena in academics. Just like a normal human being taste for water and hunger for food, so academia hunger and taste for new knowledge. There can not be growth and healthy academic without learning new things. An academia become static and marabou without learning in a consistent manner. So, I feel fulfilled when I learn.
Do you Thinks learning new things make you to feel better ?
Yes agreed. Learning is like a squeezed sponge dip into water whereby it will absorb & expand. Likewise the same effect when our squeezed mind dip into seas of knowledge & it will expand our mindset / increase our competency to handle various issues / more complex problems - this can increase our satisfaction in life. The "squeezed mind" is possible when we have the appropriate discipline, encouragement, guidance, motivation or commitment.
I perfectly agree with you. Naturally, humans have the tendency of getting fulfilled whenever they make progress in life. In my case, when I learn new things, conduct various studies and teach very well, seeing the fruit of my labour, I become self fulfilled, happy and feel good knowing that I performed creditably in effecting the changes society needs. It's indeed a remarkable feeling to help save the world from its maladies!
Amazing answers from colleagues. I do not think anybody may be against such saying.
However, I may add the following: moving forward must be accelerating, moving forward in a steady speed may be stopping or reversing, as life is going forward unpredictably. Hence, a sort of deferential measure must be considered for moving forward in life.
Another aspect, what about the surrounding environment? It is a major effect for moving forward, hence, another parameter regarding the environment must be taken into consideration in moving forward.
I strongly agree with that statement. Learning brings about growth in areas of life and growth brings about good feelings. Personally I believe anyone that can't say how good he feels when he is learning something new should try reading something that he couldn't grab or understand easily, then he will know how terrible the feeling is in that state of lack of understanding.
