It is great to see that true leadership notions are emerging and emphasised from the top - Harvard - leaving aside tried and tired old models that disintegrate us individually and socially to chaos!

Do Managers forget that they are human beings in general?
Sometimes or some managers do exhibit above attribute because their roles / KPI as manager is supposed to get things done through the people that s/he is managing which is different from leadership.
Perhaps modern day managers need to use their formal title or positional power (which is given) to manage people at the same time exhibit more leadership & soft-skill approach to motivate & influence people to achieve the goal. Because getting things done through people is easier when the "manager" has built up a relationship with his / her staff that need some investments / sacrifices e.g. time, efforts, transparency etc.
Finding leadership is appropriate in many situations because leadership is a big concept that is embedded with many approaches to influence followers to achieve the goal which includes understanding his / her followers' needs, aspirations & surrounding environments etc. (see diagram attached on key components of leadership).
