i have to adjust ph of reactive orange dye solution to 5 from ph 7..kindly tell how can i manually change the ph...means to make ph 5 which concentration of HCl will be used and how much volume will be used??

I think you can start adding 1M concentration of HCl slowly to a small beaker consists of the dye and use the whitmans paper to identify the pH change.
As its pH 5 you need - start adding 1ml of acid in about 10 or 20ml of the dye so you will see the change gradually.
Guess that would be enough to see the change.
