Did somebody read a work of Klaus Günther (1950) about fishes in which he proposed a multidimensional ecological niche model? For me is mainly interesting a thing: does this work contain any reference to Hutchinson, 1944?
Maybe, I need to explain this question. Hutchinson (1944) and (1957) proposed actually two different multidimensional niche models: the first considered the niche as an environment feature, the second - as a biosystem (individual or species) feature. The Günther's model was intermediate not only chronologically but also in substance, being a "dualistic" niche model. BTW neither Hutchinson nor Günther was the first author of multidimensional biosystem-oriented niche model, that was V. V. Vasnetsov (1938).
