All or most bacteria produce outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). Bacillus Thuringiensis is a gram-positive organism that produces crystal protein. Do they produce outer membrane vesicles along with the crystal protein or separately?
Dear Adebowale Ogunjobi sorry to see that your very interesting technical question has not yet received any expert answers, although I'm sure that many RG members work in similar fields. Personally, as an inorganic chemist, I'm absolutely not a specialist in your field of research. Thus all I can do at the moment is suggest to you a few potentially useful literature references. For example, please have a look at the following article:
Bacillus thuringiensis - A genomics and proteomics perspective
Article Bacillus thuringiensis
Also please check the following interesting paper:
Engineered Bacterial Outer Membrane Vesicles as Multifunctional Delivery Platforms
Article Engineered Bacterial Outer Membrane Vesicles as Multifunctio...
Fortunately both articles are freely accessible as public full texts on RG, so that you can download both of them as pdf files. These are not the only relevant papers about this topic which have been posted by RG members. As you can see, it often pays off to use RG directly as a valuable source of infrmation.
I hope this helps. Good luck with your research and please stay safe and healthy! With best wishes, Frank Edelmann
