There is different types of software for drawing crystal structures, as vesta (it is free) or crystal maker. You have to provide unit cell, space group and atomic coordinates, e.g. as contained in a cif file. You can then typically define a range of the infinite crystal structure and can design it by introducing bonds or "bonds" and coordination polyhedra, allowing you to highlight what you want to tell by your crystal structure model. However, the curves shown by the crystal/the crystal surface in your example image are not easily generated by the types of software I am refering to.
