I ran my samples in HPLC with a carbohydrate analysis column HPX-87C, with water as mobile phase, flow rate 0.6 ml/s, to determine the content of sucrose, glucose and fructose. However, there is always a very high peak come out before the sucrose at a retention time of 6.15-6.25. The retention time of sucrose is 8.25. I already precipitated the fructans from this sample.
