It actually depends, is it an established cell line or not? Which one is it? Where did you get your cells from? The provider are the best to actually answer your question...

Depending on the cell line, I personally use G-MEM BHK-21, and DMEM (high Glucose), but I know for a fact that with the same cell line others will use something else ;)...

Thanks for your answer, H will purchase them from a cell bank. As I studied in some articles,high glucose might cause differentiation in stem cells and my question is this effect.

Some articles recommend not to use high glucose in stem cell culture because it might encourage differentiation. Can I ask what is your reason for recommending high glucose?

For embryonic stem cell culture DMEM/F12 is better option, are you planning to study differentiation??
