I`ve been searching about differences between different cell lines of macrophages. As I understand, the specific functions of them depend of the tissue they are on, for example, lungs, liver, etc. I`ve found only a study were the authors compare alveolar vs peritoneal macrophages, but, is there any substantial difference? (mechanism, phagocytic capability...?)
