Did you examine the difference between traditional and the threshold with physiological meaning while calculating sample entropy?

Recently it was published that setting the threshold which has physiological meaning performs better than traditional r, in the process of calculating sample entropy (SampEn). We are trying to test that but the values are really hard to compare. I would appreciate your suggestions.

Our experiment was inspired by the 2019 publication by Jinle Xiong et al (published in Entropy).

I would appreciate your comments.
