I'm trying to get nodal accelerations on a simply supported beam subjected to a white noise signal through its supports. I'm following instructions given in the Ansys Manual but I can't get any succesful result. Can anybody help?
. In fact, we already get (at least) results. Now, we're trying to solve any theoretical example to check if the results coincide. If so, we'll try the more complex problem we were trying to solve from the beginning.
I think the problem we had (and the reason we couldn't get results) was we weren't defining the constraints properly, I mean, in the proper place within the code. We were loading a .db file with the model of the beam with the constraints already defined and, later, we were defining those constraints again when performing the modal analysis prior to the superposition. We run the analysis but no error message appeared. However, when checking the results in Post26, we couldn't get even the time properly sampled (the results gave the values of the natural frequencies of the beam as time values).
When removing the constraints from the .db file, the program provides good results (i.e., it gives time Vs acceleration). So, apparently the matter is solved.
