HI! I don´t have experience with DC2.4. But I did try to use JAWSII, and was a cell line of very slow growing, plus factor consuming. And I try to check CD11c expression, and did not find it. Finally, as I need lots of cells, and growing them was really slow, I ended up not using them.

In general, DC2.4 is growth factor and oncogene dependent, as it was created by retroviral transduction of bone marrow cells of C57BL/6 mice with vectors expressing murine granulocyte-macrophage CSF (GM-CSF) and the myc and raf oncogenes. JAWSII has originally been immortalized (likely by serial culture) from p53 deficient bone marrow cells and they are highly growth factor dependent as Julieta Carabelli mentioned.

Julieta Carabelli Michael Förster appreciates for your answers. I kinda figure out why sigma aldrich stops selling DC2.4, possibly due to the unstable phenotype of the cells. Perhaps JAW SII might be the better option when doing the experiments based on the maturation?
