I'm modeling the buckling of a laminated composite consisting a pre-delamination in ABAQUS. To this aim, I ran a buckle step and extracted displacements results.Then, I ran a STATIC-GENERAL step and used the imperfection keyword to import the displacement results of BUCKLE step to STATIC-GENERAL step. But, I have a problem: As the ABAQUS documentation said, any contact can not be defined in BUCKLE step. Thus, the predicted buckling mode shapes by BUCKLE step are wrong (The following pictures).Consequently, the results of post-buckling step are wrong too.
How can I fix this problem?How can I define the contact in BUCKLE step?

This is Linear perbutation Analysis, contact is Non-linear!. I hope you get it.

Contact conditions cannot change during a linear perturbation analysis. The open/closed status of each contact constraint remains as it is in the base state. All points in contact (i.e., with a “closed” status) are assumed to be sticking if friction is present, except the contact nodes for which a velocity differential is imposed by the motion of the reference frame or the transport velocity. At those nodes, slipping conditions are assumed regardless of the friction coefficient. see abaqus analysis user's manual 6.1.2 general and linear perturbation procedure.

In buckling problem especially in sheet u need apply a equation interaction. did u do it?
