I have prepared WO3-V2O5 hetero junction nano composite. The yield products (powder) were analyzed by XRD. My question is regarding JCPDS card matching. How do calculate particle size using XRD pattern. Should I use separate compound JCPDS card (WO3 and V2O5) to find / to match the corresponding planes or is there any single JCPDS card for this kind of composite
this composite prepared by microwave irradiation method. the solution of two compound was prepared separately and mixed quickly to composite.

crystallite size can be calculated . My doubt is which jcpds card has to be match . either wo3 jcpds cards or v2o5 jcpds card . in jcpds software i found some jcpds cards like tungsten vanadium oxide .

Use the pattern(s) that best matches your data. Only then will you know whether you have a mixture of two phases or one discreet phase (or indeed, a combination of both). Are you using search-match software?
Dear, Try to match all the three cards, WO3, V2O5 and tungsten vanadium oxide, and check which card gives the best fit and/or more than one cards fit to the pattern. If only one card fits to your pattern, it will be single phase, and you can find crystallite size for that phase. If more than one cards match, then your sample has two phases and you can find the crystallite size of the dominant phase (which has more peaks).
