The project is cubic porous medium inside rectangular duct and there is flow through the duct (carbon dioxide- air) . I created the mesh by ICEM so I can define interior of the cubic as (fluid) porous zone but what about outer wall for this cubic.

1D simplification of porous media model is porous jump. It is applied on face zone and not on cell zone unlike porous media.
In your problem since it is 3D, no need to use porous jump condidtion. You can define the cell zone as porous media, with the respective viscous and inertial resistance term.

you don't have to define anything there, by default it will be interior. But if you want to restrict flow in any directions, you can. Define those as a wall.
