It is undisputable that earthquakes and tsunamis of the past contributed to the formation of the Tertiary Flysch and seismoturbidites but the question of how much strong earthquakes/tsunami could contribute can only be properly answered when we simulate the exact condition you have in mind and observe/measure the response quantitatively. In doing your simulation, you have to adopt your best model possible especially in terms of your seismic energy input and geotechnical property of your earth material. This is my humble opinion.

Like all natural systems with the many variables involved, it is complex to perform a simulation that is close to reality. Imagining to mobilize large quantities of sediment, it is necessary to apply an energy of some tens of megatons, compatible with periodic and disastrous geophysical events.

You know well that to give a good response to your question is very hard onto base of actual geo-models… Such a case you have to use a simple logical reasoning and classical geo interpretation, because in the Tertiary Flysch and "seismoturbidites and its host medium exist ‘well documented’ those information how it was created… and not all times have to try to understand something from its extremes.

I agree with you on the difficulty of the answer, but understanding the mechanism could open new hypotheses on the evolution of the Earth and the mechanisms that govern it. I believe it is worthwhile to grasp the clues that Geology offers us to move forward the goal of understanding the dynamics of the earth evolution.

(I have only one work is published official: the planet erosion in Hungarian: Bolygóerrozió, and exist some geological thoughts in gravity theory articles... Others I did not publish, actually, nobody has any interest from them, as a Chinese clothes seller, I have learned well that all only such things have to offer to the clients what they really want, and they make clear visible their interset...
