I want to cross-tablet between demographic information vis path of independent variables and dependent variables on SPSS. Anyone who knows how to do this please. I have attached the sample file to show what I need to produce please. Thanks
However, the link is not yet solved my problem. the normal cross tabulation involves two categorical or it may be three. But my question is based on the one categorical and path between IV and DV.
my question here is how do I get that path of IV to DV as categorical data?
As far as I understood your question correctly, you are trying to compare the regression results of males and females, is this right? Are you trying to categorize path coefficient? It would be better to conduct similar and more rigorous analyses without categorizing it:
1. You may utilize dummy code of gender, interact it with IV and re-run the regression analysis. Your research model may not include gender, yet if you want to compare them then you are utilizing gender as a moderator. So you can track group difference by interacting gender and your IV to predict DV as follows:
DV = c + IV + gender + IV*Gender
2. I suggest you to conduct a multi-group path analyses via AMOS, SEM software of SPSS. It will compare males' and females' path model (IV TO DV) to each other. AMOS is built in in the newer versions of SPSS.
