I am wondering if there are any criteria of numerical results for Laminar flow and Turbulent flow in the Fluent? How can we judge whether the flow is in the Laminar regime, transition state or in a turbulent state? Since, wherever there is a velocity gradient, there must be turbulence and we see in a Taylor Couette reactor or spinning disk reactor, that high shear flow is generated at least near the wall. So, In numerical modeling of these types of flows, how can we predict the flow, other than Reynolds number?
