Can anybody suggest me any meta-analysis done on the types of creative and non creative tasks used in the creativity research?
As far as I know Creativity tasks that have been mostly cited are:
a) TTCT, b) Guilford DT test c) rCAB d) RAT
are there any other creativity test where they have used physical objects?
also, what are non creative tasks?

Note, the RAT is probably not a measure of creativity, although this is repeatedly claimed on many sites on the internet. Recently, an elaborated investigation of the test validity of the RAT found no correlation between RAT scores and the personality trait Openness to experience.

This is striking, given that the association between creativity and Openness to experience is one of the most robust findings in creativity research. RAT scores were instead especially correlated with the vocabulary subtest of an intelligence scale.
Coming back to your initial question, the RAT just may be a non-creative task you asked for.
Sven Form Indeed!! RAT has mixed findings. R Taft (1966), and others have also supported the findings towards RAT as convergent thinking measure. Use of RAT as non-creative measure is a good idea. Apart from RAT, are there any other alternatives? specifically, a tangible product as a measure of creativity?

Hi, interestingly, we found some support for the original Mednick's account of creativity (see the reference below). I would also add that insight problems are also considered an operational statement for creativity or productive thinking, although being (perhaps) a specific case.

Research indicates that the ability to solve insight tasks is not positively associated with neither real-world creative achievement nor everyday creative behavior. (In fact, standardized betas for both measures were negative.)

Thus, insight ability seem not to be something specific for creativity, but more about "simple" reasoning.
For measuring creativity, I rather suggest some free associative test, as you did in your own abstract, Martin.
Coming back to your initial question, Mritunjay, any task that does not allow to deviate from a given instruction may be considered a non-creative task. The narrower the instruction, the less creative.
An example could be the construction of a given Lego kit following its construction guide (in contrast to using the same Lego bricks to build whatever you want).
