The hard reality of COVID-19 pandemic is that it has affected many individuals in most families, lucky ones all recovered, less lucky ones got serious illness and went to hospital or ICU and have still not recovered completely even when surviving. Many unlucky ones died and I know many within my circle of family and friends.
Human psyche is is that anything more pressing is in sight and in mind while chronic diseases are out of mind.
These other diseases will only announce themselves with acute
complications and only then attended to, sometimes with worse immediate outcome than COVID-19 itself.
