Hallo everyone,

I need to ask for advice: I am currently doing a research on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Ultrasound measurements of the median nerve cross sectional area, in particular I am collecting the following:

Independet variable = cross sectional median nerve area

Dependent variable = Classification of CTS severity ( 6 grades), that I assume is categorical ordinal

Dependent variable = VAS score (1 to 10) which I am confused if it is qualitative or quantitative

Dependent variable = Kapandji score (from 1 to 10) based on in which zone of the 5° finger there is thumb opposition.

Now: How can I show that higher values of median nerve area correlate statistically significant with higher CTS severity and VAS? And how with lower Kapandji?

Can I use the Kruskal-Wallis to correlate area and CTS severity?

Thank you,
