Hello everyone, I am working on my Phd on free surface water streams with conda effect. Basically I am acquiring images from above of a rectangular basin in which enters a jet which is then deflected by the presence of a side wall. The camera is placed about 2 m above the basin and the region of interest is about 1m * 1m, particle size is about 150 micrometer and velocities range from 0,12 to 0,20 m/s. The system is illuminated by four led panel of 100 W each placed on the side of the basin.

At the moment I am using a fastcam AX100 mini but i need to purchase a new and cheaper camera for my acquisition using the following parameters: shutter time: 1/4000 s, 50 fps and a 50 mm nikon lens.

I was considering to buy a Basler V boost camera, can anyone give me any feedback on that camera? or any further suggestion about suitable cameras is welcome.

I will leave a couple of frames I took last week of a free jet to clarify the configuration i am using below.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
