Bats, the vectors for covid doesn’t die of covid. It is known that viral gene expression is enhanced by ultrasound (https://virologyj.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1743-422X-8-446). As bats produce ultrasound could it be one possible reason for differential gene expression in bats and man, protecting bats?
I do not think that the ultrasound produced by bats could protect them against any virus. In fact bats are carrier of many type of viruses. If they are mostly resistant to the effect of such viruses, this may be rather due to a very strong immune defense system
As Jean-Pierre Jost said, also just because they may act as a reservoir doesnt mean that they have an illness associated with it just like humans are reservoirs for certain diseases. On top of that some species have a high birth rate coupled with a low fatality that can allow a reservoir to stay in place. Attached an article on it that is quite interesting

Dear Sriram, I welcome “another thinking” in the fight against coronavirus, as there is no specific treatment yet. In the cited article, ultrasound treatment was used to enhance the destruction of cancer cells by the herpes virus. Why not consider the suggestion that overexpressed coronavirus proteins are vulnerable to the proteasome? Hence, bats can be protected by highly active autophagy. Good chance in further developing your idea.
