I think that educational programs and platforms are suitable for communication and notifications of duties and not suitable for giving educational material ..
The question should not be whether there is a greater influence through e-learning but how lecturers and teachers can consciously use blended learning structures. E-Doctor, e-commerce etc. already play a role in social life today. These social environments should be the basis for learning, after all, learning prepares people for today and the future.
e-learning can be a successful alternative in the coming year because of the situation we find ourself and because many instructors and students are exploring the best out of it. Even though some institutions may not continue fully online learning, I think majority will go blended learning or flipped classroom.
e learning can be great. It is asynchornous and practical. However, for children it is not ideal. They need to bond with their teacher, broadband is sometimes poor. It is not reliable. It is a necessity rather than a choice.
e learning is best option in given situation, but i personally believe that face to face teaching, classroom teaching can not be substituted by e learning. similarly for practical oriented courses it is very difficult to conduct practical online due to lack of felicitates and infra structure specially for technical courses
My observation here in the U.S. is that there needs to be a huge paradigm shift toward making e-learning a more fundamental and permanent part of the overall educational system. The issues are non-trivial: Connectivity, underserved communities, as Maud Waret says, student/teacher bonding, lesson content, delivery and presentation, student engagement, parent engagement, richer LMS's, etc. The key to it all is government acceptance and support around infrastructure. From there, we'll need a new breed of teacher and class creator - people who understand that the days of the talking head are behind us and richer experiences with hands-on engagement makes for a significantly higher retention rate Plus, after initial investment, costs will be significantly lower and metrics significantly more accurate. Artificial intelligence will be a huge part of making engagement better - personalized content, intelligent engagement (and disengagement), tracking, reporting and more. The future of e-teaching is bright if there's enough will to change and adapt.
hybrid learning ( as it is called in my school) seems to be the possible future for teachers in the autumn term. I am hoping it will allow more flexibility for teachers who have families or caring duties. Staying at home and working saves commuting time and money. As long as the students can have some face to face time to bond with their teacher, online teaching could make our lives easier
e-learning is a medium for success in education, and we really need media or applications that can help achieve the goals of education, be it intelligence, morals, and skills, and communication skills of each student
e-learning is the invention out of necessity. It is very useful and will continue even after the COVID and in my opinion, e-learning will become part and parcel of our learning process hence forth.
I think so, eLearning can be a successful alternative in the coming year if our educational institutions will gladly accept the need for change and embrace the concept of blended learning.
E-learning proved to be very helpful during the health crises with CV-19, becoming an indispensable and trustworthy tool for all students around the world who had taken classes via the internet and applications like zoom, Facebook teams, skype, google class, etc. Although I firmly believe that the exposure at a laptop's or computer's screen was beyond permitted and recommended percentage for children, especially preschool and primary school. Also, many children couldn't get used to distance learning, tending to attend classes without participating or they couldn't concentrate on the learning process. On the other hand, e-learning proved to be a much more helpful learning tool in times of crisis and need, and also, if combined right, it will become a learning tool witch fill the gaps, fulfill the needs in the learning process, upgrading it. According to my beliefs, the road to success is a combination of physical and distance learning.
E-learning will be good for the coming year but as a substitute for face to face class learning I totally disagree because the level of understanding and impact made while in class won't come to play and for some countries it would lead to a drastic decrease in the standard of Education.
Before the lockdown I saw the need for on-line learning for Master's level and created the MA Interior Design for Health and Wellbeing (on-line) course. Based on a virtual classroom with industry collaboration, not just lectures pre-recorded and put on-line. With undergraduate level which I have been a part of for 15 years, blended learning I feel will be the way forward, however, the lack of interpersonal connection might be a loss on the part of the student experience. Going to university is about making life time connections and experiences as well as gaining a degree.
Since a lot of technological breakthroughs and methodologies are under progress in e-learning, e-learning bound to be more effective and cost-effective in many ways. But there needs to be always a practical approach to learning is a must to bolster the understanding of the subject.
I think almost all of the people are already experiencing E-Learning in some form and some are ready to cope with it. The future may definitely be mostly based on E-Leaning, e.g., writing via Chalk, Ink etc., is even getting rare and transforming to LEDs etc.
It is good for formal education but only for trasnfering information, concepts. In the field of TVET it is not an appropriate tool because it does not allow the development of skills.
It could be a good alternative, since as the panorama is seen the level of covid infection will continue to grow, and institutions can improve their online teaching systems from this year's experience.
If the scale of the development of the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic was still high, then yes, education can still be conducted in the e-learning formula. However, due to the efficiently progressing vaccination programs, the scale of the pandemic's development has been declining rapidly since the end of spring 2021, there is a chance that in the next school and academic year, most of the educational activities will be conducted stationary.
