Hi all,

Does Caspase 8, for example, cleaves anything else other than caspase 3 and BID? For instance, if there is a protein containing VEVD sequence and is known to be cleaved by caspase, could it be cas8 but not cas3/6/7?

Another question: Is there an existing protein shown to be cleaved by multiple caspase on different sites, maybe sequentially?

I am working on a protein which known to be cleaved only when caspase is activated, but it is not known that which caspase is responsible for the cleavage, because it seems that it can be cleaved by different executioner caspase and not anyone of it is indispensable. It is also very strange that it cannot be directly detected after the cleavage. So, taken together I am suspecting there is a secondary cleavage by another caspase. I am looking for evidence that suggest/support the possibility.
