Hello,
I am trying to reconstitute a tail anchored membrane protein into liposomal membrane. Carbonate extraction indicates that it is resistant. Is that always reliable or convincing to conclude that TA protein integrated into liposomal membrane?

We do not say that carbonate extraction be always integrated into liposomal membrane. It need to possible evaluations.

Hi Erman, I am not familiar with the carbonate extraction procedure, but you can combine liposomes and your tail into a tube and use a sonicating water bath to see if the tail will incorporate into the liposomes.
