I am wondering If anyone have used dopamine receptor 1 (DrD1) and got clear bands after running in gel. I have used one which sometimes gives one band, sometimes give additional band near the original one and sometimes does not work (although the samples are positive to GAPDH).

May be your primer is good enough..you can change your PCR conditions. . Sometimes, one degree change in the annealing temperatures, can change the outcomes.Sometimes, the primers might have got degraded, in which case you need to confirm its integrity.
Otherwise, you can design a new primer that suits your analysis

I want to multiply the dopamine receptor 1 (DrD1) gene of mouse. I do not know which further subtype shall I specify. I am investigating the expression of DrD1 by the striatal neurons. Hopfully these infromation could help.
