Most of the PhD students write their articles avoiding the plagiarism. These papers are corrected and published, what constitutes a good document from an editorial point of view. So when writing the thesis, can they copy paragraphs of these articles in the thesis report ?
copying the paragraph of articles in thesis without citation to original article is not appropriate...even if it is AUTHOR'S OWN ARTICLE, HYPOTHESES AND FINDINGS, it is appropriate to cite an article in the thesis....it is my personal view....i am open to other RG experts suggestions and views....

If these article have been published then it is not accepted to copy paste these paragraphs, but it is possible to reform them into another words followed by adding reference number (citation).

I did not know that it is not possible. Personally, I don't see a problem since it is your articles and normally the thesis represents the synthesis of the work published already in the form of articles.

Copying not more than 10 words with adding quotation mark and reference number is permissible.

If you have published papers on a theme, you are even allowed to republish them as chapters in your thesis-book, with proper citation. This is a quick and reliable way to put your thesis-book together. You first have to arrange the papers so that they are in a suitable order, and discard any which do not support your thesis-theme. You may find that a whole chapter is missing. What you have to do is to edit the papers to shorten them, bring them up to date and to unify your terminology. Finally, you have to write an introductory chapter, and a concluding chapter. I recommend that you add a paragraph at the end of each chapter to introduce the next. I recommend pragmatically that you have a list of references at the end of every chapter, and do not unify it into a single list.
The examiner of your thesis-book will be forced to tick the box next to the question: Is part of this thesis-book of publishable standard?

No. One cannot make the copy as it is similar to the earlier document of the same author if made it constitute a self-plagiarism. Secondly, a Ph.D. text is a blueprint discovered during doctoral research and one has to publish it findings in the journal in the form of a research paper while doing this, one can apply double inverted quote sign (“........”) for the borrowed idea even though for the same author. Thirdly most important thing the author has to follow a parameter to paraphrase the work but the meaning of original should not be changed. The American Psychological Association (APA) citation style guide has made a standard that how much text or how many words the citing writer has to take borrow the idea from another’s writing. APA set a rule up to 40 words used as a shorter quote and above 40 words as a longer quote but should not make the manuscript as a common knowledge.
It is a good general guideline not to quote and cite more than 40 words from yourself (or anybody else) at a time.
It is expected that generally you will paraphrase and not quote what you have previously written, in order to up-date it. Such copying of ideas from your published papers into your thesis-book is only self-plagiarism if you omit the citation.
