I am facing some convergence issues for the attached model. The model contains a rubber block reinforced with composite plates. I am not sure about the problem, whether it could be related to the contact definition (General contact and Tie constraint), meshing, or something else. I tried "static, general" as well, but the current solver is Dynamic, Implicit.
I have a few bolts in the model and their pretension is accounted as "Bolt Loads" . Bolt loads were all applied in Step1 before the main Step2, in which I just applied some simple loading to the top surface.
The job monitor shows the progress in the beginning. It goes well initially, but from a certain point it starts to cut back and reduce the time inc. and then stops somewhere around 0.2 sec.
I would appreciate your comments/suggestions.
